The OHLEAP group was established in 2010 under the leadership of the administrative staff from the Westerville Division of Police with the support from their chief. After searching for existing groups that offered education and networking specifically tailored to civilians in law enforcement, a similar group was located in Appleton, Wisconsin. Members of the Westerville Police administrative staff were able to attend a WILEAP conference and were impressed and encouraged with what they saw. Fox Valley Technical College, the educational supporter for WILEAP generously offered their support to assist with the Ohio branch, and OHLEAP was born.
We are proud to be the exclusive group in Ohio to provide specialized law enforcement training for civilians. During our annual conference, we choose speakers tailored to enhance personal career development goals, motivate you to strive for greatness and educate you in new and exciting ways.
Networking with other departments is a vital element of the OHLEAP community. During the conference, as we meet our counterparts from agencies throughout the state, we become a resource to each other to answer questions and share best practices for law enforcement executives and their staff.
Be the first to hear about upcoming classes, special events, and course registrations.
